On eve of Trump visit, American Legion reaffirms opposition to hate groups: "On Monday, the Legion upheld a resolution it first passed in 1923 denouncing "individuals, groups, or organizations which create or foster racial, religious, or class strife among our people."

Such hate groups are "un-American, a menace to our liberties, and destructive to our fundamental law,” the resolution says."
