The European Union has pledged more than 400 million euros ($575 million) to help the needy in Haiti and help rebuild the country from the rubble of last week’s earthquake.
The European Union Commission said Monday it would contribute 330 million euros in emergency and long-term aid to Haiti. EU member states also poured 92 million euros into emergency aid alone.
