Speaker calls suggestion that Florida drop out of Medicaid a "hazardous threat" | The Florida Tribune: "In an interview with the Florida Tribune on Wednesday Cannon said he was going to 'reserve judgement on the strategy' but said he wasn't sure the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services had the authority to grant the sweeping waiver the Senate is seeking.  

'In terms of negotiation I am always a big believer in never make a threat you are not prepared to carry through on immediately. That's how I tend to operate,' Cannon said."
