Link to questionaire:

"It has been suggested that the government could use voter registration to determine a person's political affiliation, prompting fears that GOP voters might be discriminated against for medical treatment in a Democrat-imposed health care rationing system. Does this possibility concern you?"

VA glitch leads vets to false Lou Gehrig's diagnosis - Modern Healthcare

VA glitch leads vets to false Lou Gehrig's diagnosis - Modern Healthcare
A computer glitch mistakenly led more than 1,200 veterans to believe they had a fatal illness. According to the National Gulf War Resource Center, the Veterans Affairs Department erroneously sent out letters to veterans telling them they had “a diagnosis of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis,” or ALS, otherwise known as Lou Gehrig's disease.

As a result, the Gulf War veterans group was barraged by phone calls from veterans concerned that they had a terminal illness. “Many of these veterans went to private clinicians to get a second opinion. This second opinion outside of the VA is very expensive and can range from $1,000 to $3,000 or more,” the center said in a written statement on its Web site.

Obama to reappoint Fed Chairman Bernanke

Prediction:

Markets should react well to the news.

President Barack Obama plans to announce the reappointment of Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke on Tuesday, reports said late Monday. The annoucement of a second term for Bernanke will be made from Martha's Vineyard, Mass., The Wall Street Journal reported, citing White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel. Obama is expected to praise the Fed chairman for his "bold action" in dealing with the financial crisis, according to Reuters. Bernanke's four-year term expires in January, and his reappointment will require Senate confirmation.

James Rucker: Verizon, Lowe's, Johnson & Johnson, 13 more drop Glenn Beck

A total of 33 Fox advertisers, including Wal-Mart Stores Inc., CVS Caremark, Clorox and Sprint, directed that their commercials not air on Beck's show.

The new companies distancing themselves from Beck include Airware Inc. (makers of Brez anti-snoring aids), Ancestry.com, AT&T, Blaine Labs Inc., Campbell Soup Company, Clorox, Ditech, The Elations Company, Experian (creator of FreeCreditReport.com), Farmers Insurance Group, Johnson & Johnson (makers of Tylenol), Lowe's, NutriSystem, Sprint, The UPS Store and Verizon Wireless.
