Upstate vigils for Charleston victims - FOX Carolina 21

Prayer vigils will be held in memory of the victims in the Charleston church shooting Friday at the Israel Metropolitan CME Church in Greenville, Monks Grove Baptist Church in Spartanburg, Furman University in Travelers Rest, and Allen Temple AME Church in Greenville. The Spartanburg NAACP chapter said the community was invited to attend vigil would be held at Macedonia Baptist Church on Saturday.  Israel Metropolitan CME Church is located at 307 North Calhoun Street. The vigil there is expected to begin at noon. 
Monk's Grove Baptist Church is located at 718 Monks Grove Church Road. The vigil is scheduled for 7 p.m.
The vigil at Furman will be held at 3:30 p.m. in the university's chapel.
The community is invited to gather at Allen Temple AME Church at 109 Green Avenue at 7 p.m. Allen Temple hosted a vigil on Thursday at the neighboring Westside Community Center that was evacuated due to a bomb threat. Read more here.
Saturday's vigil at Macedonia Baptist Church, located at 502 South Daniel Morgan Avenue, will begin at 9 a.m.
Nine people were killed after a man opened fire inside the Emanuel AME Church in Charleston Wednesday night.
